WEDDING OFFICIANTS

“Monumental Arizona Weddings” ministers David & Debra Joaquim are non-denominational ministers who specialize in not only officiating wedding but helping couples to plan their weddings in remote locations. We are legally sanctioned by the State of Arizona to perform wedding ceremonies anywhere in the state. We will assist you in making sure you secure a marriage license issued by one of the Justice Court locations on the way to your wedding site and assist you with permit requests should they be necessary.

Your Ministers & Guides, David & Debra Joaquim have over 20 years of experience planning weddings & events in remote locations in Arizona and Southern Utah. The picture on the right is of our wedding at Havasu Falls on August 14th, 1993. Talk about remote locations, we organized transportation, gear, guided the hike and planned meals for 28 loved ones, truly amazing adventurers, for a five day, four night “Wedding Expedition” deep into the Grand Canyon. We spent the morning of our wedding day writing our own vows and ceremony. As they say, “the rest is history.”

As spiritual humanists we are reverent of the beauty of nature, we honor all spiritual beliefs and respect the many traditions our couples wish to share. We will provide you with a wedding ceremony outline. You may choose your words from our suggestions or you may write your own personal vows which you can share with one another on your wedding day or for those of you that are a bit shy, we will happily read your vows for you.

Our Officiants will perform your ceremony in nature and provide the knowledge and experience to help guide you through this unique and wonderful adventure. Life is an adventure. Begin your lives together under the heavens where the rocks and the trees are listening and the water is your music. Better yet, bring along a Native American flute player to fill the air with sounds that echo from Arizona’s true spirit.

We will happily travel to remote locations, hike for many miles and sleep under the stars. We are certified guides for the Grand Canyon, Tonto National Forest and CPR as well as first-aid trained. We also have a certified cave guide on staff for when you need a minister in a really remote location.
