There are several hotels in Marble Canyon but our favorite hands down is Cliff Dweller’s Lodge. Located at Lee’s Ferry, this old homestead was built to provide those running the ferry crossing operation with shelter and its lush gardens and orchards were the only thing that sustained these rugged pioneers in this desolate landscape. This is a wonderful place for couples or small groups who don’t mind enjoying a wedding ceremony and picnic reflecting on the beauty that is Marble Canyon. There are no services available but photo opportunities abound and the trail up the Paria River starts at the ranch.
Cathedral Canyon Extreme Hike
The hike into the Colorado River through Cathedral Canyon is for experts only including a few exposed down climbs with no rigging but for those truly wanting an extreme wedding adventure the views at the river and the solitude makes the difficult journey well worth it. If price is not an object, we can charter a helicopter from Grand Canyon, south rim or Page Lake Powell to Marble Canyon and even set up a lunch on the beach.
