GRAND CANYON HAVASUPAI FALLS
GETTING THERE

First things first, there are NO SERVICES at Hilltop.  Indian Highway 18 is 60 miles in to Hilltop and 60 miles back from Hilltop, we highly recommend a full tank of gas. You can stop in either Seligman, off I40 coming from the east and Kingman or Peach Springs on Route 66 coming from the west.

Hilltop is a very busy place.  Four days a week, Airwest Helicopters are shuttling supplies in and out of Supai as well as tribal members, others with official business in the village and of course visitors like yourselves. Mule trains carrying supplies and visitors gear into and from the village and campground are on the trail all day long. Remember they have the right of way on trail, keep your ears open for their approach, you do not want to spook a horse. Riders on horseback carry the locals as well as tourists in and out of the canyon. This hiking trail has been used by  the Havasu Baaja’ for hundreds of years, it is a well worn path into paradise.

There is plenty of parking and please remember to secure your vehicle before you go.  We like to hide a set of car keys somewhere at Hilltop, just in case, you never know, keys can get lost on an adventure filled camping trip. Also avoid parking near the rock wall, as rocks tend to roll down and hit windshields.
